Cannabis are a group of chemical compounds which interact with cannabinoid receptors present mainly in the brain. These are obtained from the inflorescences of the plant Cannabis sativa. These are inhaled or digested orally. Leaves, flowers, tops and resins of the Cannabis plant are used to produce hashish, charas, marijuana and ganja. This drug affects the cardiovascular system. It is a strong stimulant. When taken in high doses it can cause headache, convulsions, hallucination, irritation and redness in eyes, increased appetite, increased urination etc.
