Both sickle cell anemia and Huntington's disease are congenital disorders. Sickle cell anaemia is the X-linked trait in which one βchain of haemoglobin is different; the 6th amino acid of βchain is valine instead of glutamatic acid. Due to this, the patient's haemoglobin level is reduced to half of the normal and the person becomes anaemic. Huntington's disease is also due to the presence of repetitive motifs, which occurs due to the repetition of few residues.
