Capacitive reactance is defined as the total opposition to the current due to a capacitor , and is given by ,Xc=1/ωC=1/2πfC,where ω=angular frequency of circuit and f=frequency of circuit ,for DC ,f=0, so Xc=∞, capacitor doesn't allow the DC to pass through it .Its S.I. unit is ohm(Ω).
