Differentiate between thermoplastic and thermosetting polymer. Give one example of each.

Polymer which are cross-linked between their chains and cannot be reshaped upon heating known as Thermosetting Polymer. Example: Bakelite, melamine etc. Polymers which are mold-able or malleable above a certain temperature and solidifies upon cooling are known as Thermoplastic Polymer. These polymers can be easily reshaped by heating. Example: Nylon.
