Solution:

(a) The pointer can stop at one of the following regions: A, A, B, C, D. Only in 1 case that pointer will stop at region D. Probability: 1/5
(b) There are 52 cards: 4 ace cards. Probability of getting an ace card = 4/52 = 1/13
(c) There are a total of 7 apples, out of which 4 are red, 3 are green. Probability of red apple = 4/7
