(i) Enzyme and receptor are the macromolecules that are chosen as drug targets. (ii) Antiseptics: These are applied to the living tissues such as wounds, cuts and diseased skin surfaces. Example: Furacine and soframicine. (iii) Aspartame is the most useful artificial sweetener. Its use is limited to cold foods and soft drinks because it is unstable at cooking temperature.
