Solution:
Let the potential of point B = 0
∴Potential of point A and C will be 9V and 3V respectively.
By applying KCL at E
I₁ + I₃ = I₂
as I₃ = 0
∴I₁ = I₂
Also as I₃ = 0
Vₑ = Vբ + 4 = 4 volts
Vₑ = Vd = 4 volts
∴Potential difference between point A and D will be = Vₐ - Vd = (9 - 4) volts = 5 volts = 5V (Thus option A)
