The process in which the embryo gets embedded in the uterine wall is called implantation. Embryo gets implanted at the blastocyst stage. It is by this adhesion, that the fetus receives oxygen and nutrients from the mother and is able to grow. The female reproductive organ in which the embryo gets embedded is the uterus.
