Name the type of immunity the colostrum provides to a newborn baby. Write giving an example where this type of immunity should be provided to a person.

The colostrum contains the antibodies which are transferred from mother to the child and provide natural passive immunity. This type of immunity can also be provided by the maternal blood to the child in the womb. The child cannot produce the antibodies and so they can be provided from the mother.
