Spliceosome is a structure within which splicing reactions occur. Splicing is a process by which the non coding regions i.e. introns are removed from mRNA and only exons i.e coding regions are left which are further translated into proteins. The term linkage was coined by TH Morgan. Transduction was discovered by Zinder and Lederberg in Salmonella in 1952. Punnett square was developed by British geneticist Punnett.
