What, according to you, were the values displayed by Asha and her mother?

The incident of Chernobyl disaster must have disturbed both Asha and her mother. It might have also made them sceptic about the use of nuclear energy as a safe source of power generation as once a nuclear disaster happens there are practically no ways to control or mitigate the consequences of the disaster; that is to say, absence of proper recovery mechanism. E.g. Recent Fukushima Disaster.
