Write the functions of the following in communication systems: i) Receiver ii) Demodulator

Receiver and demodulator are very crucial elements in communication systems. Their functions are: i) Receiver: The receiver functions on the received signal collected from the transmitted signal at the channel output and reproduces the original message signal for sending. ii) Demodulator: A demodulator demodulates the modulated signal; it differentiates the small frequency message signal that has been superimposed on a big frequency carrier wave and extracts the information from the carrier wave at the receiver.
