Write two distinguishing features of nuclear forces.

Two Distinguishing features of Nuclear forces :-
(i) Nuclear forces are short-range forces. They are appreciable at a distance of 10⁻¹⁵ m or less. At greater distances than this, they are negligible.
(ii) Nuclear forces are independent of electric charges. Hence, the nuclear interaction between two protons, two neutrons, and one proton and one neutron is all the same.
